Due to a long term employee retirement, an exceptional opportunity has become available for a talented and motivated General Manager to lead our amazing new flagship location. (Just off the Ring Road at Glenmore Trail SW)

As the General Manager, you have a unique opportunity to oversee all aspects of this family-owned dealership operation, including the performance of New and Pre-owned Vehicle Sales, Finance and Insurance, Parts, and Service. This is a critical role within our organization as you will be the driving force behind our success. You will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact by implementing innovative solutions and driving continuous improvement.

You will have the responsibility to set the annual budget and develop short and long-term strategies for success. Your primary goals are to grow revenues and increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.

You will work closely with the management team to develop and implement strategies to drive growth and profitability by establishing achievable goals and providing feedback and direction. As the ideal candidate, you are a high achiever and a natural leader with a proven ability to achieve results.

Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
• Actively mentors and provides feedback to Managers to strengthen operational management including, performance management, strategic planning, problem-resolution, continuous improvement, health and safety, business case development, and collecting and analyzing trend data.
• Embrace long term strategies to ensure continued excellence in customer service and satisfaction.
• Monitoring the financial performance of the dealership and addressing any operational concerns that could impact results.
• Utilizing KPI’s in all departments to ensure success against forecasts.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with clients, employees, and industry partners to help generate new business and achieve common goals.
• Developing and implementing strategies for growth and profitability while monitoring expenses.
• Ensure that all internal processes, procedures, and compliance requirements are communicated, implemented, and followed.

Qualifications:
• A minimum of 10 or more years of experience working in automotive dealership management with a proven record of successes.
• Experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager preferred. Breadth of experience in leading multiple departments of a dealership will be considered.
• Strong leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring and decision-making skills. The ability to motivate and develop dynamic teams that work cohesively.
• Strong understanding and ability to calculate profit margins; track sales and monitor forecast expectations and analyze financial information, an excellent understanding of KPI’s and dealership metrics.
• Ability to maintain superior customer satisfaction levels and ratings.
• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Full understanding of regulations, laws and required compliance in the Automotive Industry in Alberta.
• CDK experience an asset.
• Ford experience an asset.
