Ford Introduces the 2026 Mustang Dark Horse SC: The New Flagship Mustang

Ford has officially revealed the 2026 Mustang Dark Horse SC, and it’s being positioned as the new flagship Mustang for the 2026 model year.

Developed by Ford Performance and inspired by Ford’s top-level motorsports programs, the Dark Horse SC represents the next step in Mustang performance — more focused, more capable, and more exclusive than anything that has come before it outside of the ultra-rare GTD.

This is not just another special edition. It’s a statement about where Mustang performance is headed.

The Dark Horse SC sits at the very top of the Mustang lineup and will be produced in limited numbers, with availability restricted to select Ford dealers only.

Metro Ford is proud to be one of the few Canadian dealerships approved to represent this new flagship Mustang.

Ford has indicated that ordering is expected to open in Spring 2026, with deliveries beginning in Summer 2026. Pricing and final specifications will be announced closer to the opening of order banks.
