Metro Ford and Ford of Canada Raise Funds for WINS at Lakeview Family Fun Day
Community involvement has always been an important part of who we are at Metro Ford. On Saturday, May 23, we were proud to partner with Ford of Canada and the Lakeview Community Association as part of the annual Lakeview Family Fun Day.
It was a fantastic day filled with live music, games, activities for families, local vendors, and community spirit. Most importantly, it gave us an opportunity to support an incredible local organization while connecting with members of the Calgary community.
Through Ford of Canada's Drive For Your Community program, Metro Ford and event participants helped raise more than $500 for Women In Need Society (WINS) through a series of community test drives.
What Is Ford's Drive For Your Community Program?
Drive For Your Community is a Ford of Canada initiative designed to help local charities and non-profit organizations raise funds in a simple and engaging way.
For every eligible test drive completed during the event, Ford of Canada makes a donation to the selected charity. Participants can support a worthwhile cause simply by taking a short drive in a new Ford vehicle—no purchase necessary.
The program allows dealerships to work directly with community organizations while introducing participants to the latest Ford vehicles and technology.
Supporting Women In Need Society (WINS)
This year's charity partner was Women In Need Society (WINS), a Calgary-based organization that provides programs, resources, and support for women and their families across the city.
WINS operates community resource hubs, family support programs, employment initiatives, and social enterprise retail stores that help fund its services.
We were honoured to have the opportunity to support an organization that makes such a meaningful impact in Calgary.
A Great Day at Lakeview Family Fun Day
The Lakeview Community Association Family Fun Day brought together residents from across southwest Calgary for a day of entertainment and community connection.
Visitors enjoyed:
- Live music and entertainment
- Family-friendly games and activities
- Community exhibits and vendors
- Food and refreshments
- The opportunity to support WINS through a Ford test drive
Metro Ford team members were on-site throughout the day, helping participants learn more about the Drive For Your Community program and coordinating test drives.
It was wonderful to see so many people take a few minutes out of their day to support a local charity while experiencing some of Ford's newest vehicles.

Participants had the opportunity to experience a variety of Ford vehicles representing different powertrain options and lifestyles.
The event showcased:
